Elementary Department
In kindergarten through sixth grade, faculty members work together to provide an integrated curriculum. The Elementary Department offers a comprehensive program including Phonics, Bible, Language Arts, Math, Science, Penmanship, and Social Science. The goal is not only to teach mastery of the subjects but also to develop enthusiastic interest and a strong sense of confidence in each student. Extracurricular activities are provided during the regular school day in fields such as Music, P.E. and Art. The Elementary department provides extended day care before and after school for students attending Southside Baptist Christian School. Another key component of the elementary program is to maintain a strong communications link with the parents.

Middle School Department
The SBCS Middle School Department provides seventh through ninth grade students with a departmentalized approach for all subjects. Emphasis is placed on preparing students for the comprehensive curriculum of the high school by developing good study skills and discipline for more advanced academic work. Basic classes are offered in English and Math and Honors classes are offered in English, Math and Science. Core classes include Bible, English, Math, Physical Education, Science and History. Elective course offerings at this level are outstanding and a partial list includes beginning and intermediate band, choral ensemble, keyboarding classes, art, yearbook, and journalism. | High School Department
The SBCS High School Department, grades 10-12, prepares students for admission into college and for achievement and success in that rigorous environment. Academic tracks are also available for those students who are more vocationally-minded. In addition, the program is designed to develop an awareness of their potential. Commitment to community service and individual responsibility are also strongly emphasized. An in-depth, enriched curriculum, close faculty-student relations, diverse activities, and a variety of special programs and traditions support these goals.
