Southside Baptist Christian School is committed to demonstrating Biblical excellence in all our programs. Our children deserve the best education we can provide, and this can only be realized by removing our school's dependency on tuition. The establishment of the "Future Generations" Educational Endowment is designed to provide a perpetual cash stream to meet the ongoing needs of the school. We firmly believe that a small teacher-to-student ratio is essential to maintaining an effective educational environment. By limiting the number of students in each classroom, we are able to give each student the individualized instruction they need to reach their full potential. If our school survived on tuition dollars alone, quality would suffer and our tuition rates would be unreachable for many families. Because the endowment principal is never spent, every step of progress is permanent progress!

Southside Baptist Christian School depends on the outstanding efforts of the community to help provide the best possible quality of education for our children as well as the understanding that the school budget does not always provide for the tools that would be needed in supplementing the teaching skills of our staff. As a Christian school operating both inner-city and international student educational programs, SBCS depends on corporate and community support to meet the ever growing needs of our staff and student body. In addition to seeking support for the general operating costs of the school, SBCS is also looking to grow and develop several programs that are fundamental to our academic mission.
In addition, there are ongoing costs related to field trips at every grade level which tie to the curriculum, and allow students to make learning more real and experiential. These include outdoor education, museum trips related to the arts and sciences, and more. Extra funding here allows us to continue to provide the types of experiences that students in more affluent districts are typically afforded.
Finally, this year we are moving to renovate and revitalize our preschool and elementary department playground area to include a fully equipped, age-appropriate playground with a 5ft. fence around the perimeter. Currently, there is no outdoor playground for use by the younger students and the transition of the designated space would include the integration of several pieces of equipment that would aid in the social and physical development of these younger students.

Below, please find the ongoing development needs we are constantly trying to meet as a school. These are areas in which we continue to seek funding throughout the year to support our mission of providing rigorous educational opportunities and a college preparatory experience for all of our students.
